The Australian Curriculum: Technologies aims to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills, both individually and collaboratively, as described in the Design and Technologies and Digital Technologies subjects.

Design Technologies requires students to use design thinking and technologies to generate and produce designed solutions while in Digital Technologies students use computational thinking and information systems to define, design and implement digital solutions.

Technologies enrich and impact, globally, on the lives of people and society.  All young Australians need to develop a capacity for both action and critical appreciation of the processes through which technologies are developed and contribute to society.
